Mother Patricia Ann Hayes is a native of the Shore Region of New Jersey. She grew up in the United Holiness Church in Freehold, New Jersey. She is one of eleven children of the late Brother Joseph Hayes, Sr. and Mother Mary Hayes. She was taught Christian morals and values at an early age. One of her early mentors was her grandmother, the late Mother Rosetta Guthridge, who had a great influence on her life. Her grandfather was the late Deacon Henry Guthridge.
Mother Hayes came to Minnesota after graduating from high school to pursue her educational and career goals. She graduated from Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis. She has also matriculated at the University of Minnesota and Metropolitan State University. She completed the Leadership Institute for Ministry Excellence Program at the University of Saint Thomas.
Her secular career has been primarily in Human Resources with special emphasis in Information Systems. She is presently employed in the Risk Insurance Department of the Metropolitan Airports Commission. She is a former Art Consultant and Representative of Artistic Impressions and Artful Décor. She is involved in many business and professional organizations.
Mother Hayes’s spiritual experience is exciting and inspiring. She was saved at the New Covenant Church of God In Christ in January 1980. Not long after her new birth, the Lord called her into the teaching ministry. This Spirit-filled woman heeded the call of God, and she has been obedient to God in conveying the Gospel message. Mother Hayes received her Missionary license in 1982 and Evangelist license in 1984. She presently serves her local church as Church Administrator (Chief Operating Officer), Secretary-Treasurer of the church corporation, member of the Board of Directors, member of the Trustee Board, and leads praise and worship. She is totally committed and totally involved in ministry.
Mother Hayes’s past ministry involvement includes serving as District Missionary of the William B. Williams Metropolitan District,
Executive Aide to the District Missionary of the J. W. Graham/W. B. Williams Metropolitan District and as District Secretary/Treasurer. She also served as Public Relations Director for the Minnesota Chapter of the Professional & Business Women Fellowship of the Church of God in Christ.
Mother Hayes has received many awards in recognition of her outstanding service to the church and to the community, including "Woman of the Year" in Minnesota and "Member of the Year" several times at New Covenant. She is esteemed very highly by her Jurisdictional Bishop and pastor, the National Women Department and her contemporaries. In May 2013, Mother Hayes will be acknowledged as a new member of the Women’s International Convention/Crusade Special Convention Assistance Committee.
She is an intelligent, articulate and multitalented Woman of God. She is a woman for today who teaches the Word of God forthrightly and with great anointing. She is dedicated and faithful to God and His church. She is an excellent role model for sanctified women. Her heart’s desire and prayer is for souls to be saved and lives to be enhanced.
On November 7, 2008 during the 101st Holy Convocation of the Church of God in Christ, she was officially appointed and installed by National General Mother Willie Mae Rivers as Supervisor, Department of Women, Minnesota Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
We honor Mother Patricia A. Hayes, God’s Woman, and "A Woman full of Good Works." We believe that God has brought her into His kingdom for such a time as this.
