Instructions for Pastors
Dear Pastor:
Greetings in the precious named of Jesus our Lord.
The School of Licensing for Evangelist and Deaconess Missionaries is scheduled to begin in January 2023. A Letter of recommendation from you as her leader (1) along with (2) the enclosed stewardship checklist should be submitted for each candidate (reproduce as needed).
The national licensing procedure for missionaries now requires proof of background check and completion of sexual misconduct class online.
Pastor, it is crucial that the character of those you are recommending be in compliance with the efforts of our national church and jurisdiction in particular. If you have concerns and questions in this area, please contact our Jurisdictional Representative.
There are two categories for which you may recommend your Aspiring Missionary who has served faithful and consistently at your local church under your leadership for the page two (2) years.
1. Deaconess Missionary
2. Evangelist Missionary
The Deaconess Missionary candidate will attend The Department of Women’s School of Licensing, for this Semester to complete the Course of Study (7 classes) with a written and oral examination, and the pre-requisite background check and on-line Misconduct Course.
Evangelist Missionary candidates will attend the Department of Women School of Licensing for Evangelist for this semester. Failure to attend All (8) Classes will require that she re- enroll the following year to begin the process again. She must also successfully pass a written and oral examination of material covered.
The Cost of Registration includes the Curriculum Guide, IDOW Missionary Training, Jurisdiction Department of Women training/licensing paperwork process. The full fee must be submitted by the Candidate at the first class, without exception.
(The candidate cost will include Women’s Handbook, Church Protocol and Saintly Decorum, background check, on-line Misconduct Training):
· Deaconess Missionary Candidate Registration Fee: $100.00
· Evangelist Missionary Candidate Registration Fee: $100.00

Qualifications for Licensure Candidates

The Deaconess Missionary
A licensed Missionary whose ministry work and involvement are primarily within her local church. Candidates whose children are nine (9) years old and under are in this category. Her primary focus should be to minister to her husband and children in the home. The Deaconess Missionary is a much-needed asset to the Ministry of her local church and to the Pastor. |
