Missionary Classification and Qualifications

The Aspiring Missionary


A woman who feels a special call of God. Her life must reflect a Godly image. She must demonstrate interest and concern about the ministry in prayer, teaching, soul-winning and sense the inner call to the service of God. It is recommended that an Aspiring Missionary be observed for at least two (2) years before being recommended for license. Aspiring Missionaries with children nine (9) years and younger are not eligible for Evangelist License.

The Deaconess Missionary


A licensed Missionary whose ministry work and involvement is primarily within her local church. Candidates whose children are nine (9) years old and under are in this category. Her primary focus should be to minister to her husband and children in the home. The Deaconess Missionary is a much-needed asset to the ministry of her local church and to the pastor.

The Evangelist Missionary


A licensed Missionary whose ministry extends into the District and the Jurisdiction. However, she must have the endorsement of her Pastor and Jurisdictional Supervisor. She must be available to travel and conduct revivals whenever and wherever called upon. She is expected to help build the work on all levels. *Aspiring Missionaries with children under nine years of age (9) and younger are not eligible for the Evangelist License.
