Deaconess Missionary
A Deaconess Missionary is a licensed Missionary whose ministry is exercised within her local church. However, with the permission of her pastor, her ministry may be extended beyond the local church, in which case, the Church Mother or an Evangelist Missionary should accompany her. Deaconess Missionary ministries may include; hospital and home visitation and assisting in street and prison ministry. She must study the Word of God, seek training through Institute classes, Bible Schools, college etc. This level of study and preparation will equip her for effective ministry. After a minimum of two years of dedicated service, she may become a candidate for the Evangelist Ministry with the recommendation of her pastor. The role and responsibility of a Deaconess Missionary is not to be confused with that of the Deaconess of the local church.
The Deaconess Missionary license will be issued from the National church and the Department of Women upon successful completion of the following three requirements:
State / Jurisdictional Evangelist Missionary is a female, who is saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. One who believes God has called her to expound the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a quest and a passion for soul winning.
She must be loyal, dedicated, obedient, and a supportive member of her local church; having the recommendation of her Pastor and Church Mother. She should also be loyal to her Jurisdictional Bishop and Supervisor. Giving support financially and spiritually during any Women’s Department and general jurisdictional programs.
She must be available for ministry in the Local, District, and State, which could extend into other State ministry (as endorsed by her leaders).
She must adhere to the teaching of Holiness and modest apparel. Her life must exemplify Holiness in every way.
Be informed that this license does not qualify you to be a National Evangelist.
The Evangelist Missionary license will be issued from the National church and the Department of Women upon successful completion of the following three requirements:
CANDIDATE/ASPIRANT
She must be subject to the direct supervision of the Pastor, Church Mother, or the Pastor’s Designate.
She must be dedicated to her Local Church, District, and Jurisdiction. She must demonstrate interest and concern about the ministry in prayer and be able to deliver a word or thought from the Lord. She should also be concerned about soul winning and have a sense of the inner call to the service of God.
It is recommended that she has a minimum of (2) years of pastoral observation before being recommended by her pastor to the School of Licensing for Missionaries.
She should display a pattern of good works, being loyal and obedient to her Pastor, Church Mother, and those in leadership. She must adhere to the doctrine and teaching of the church as it relates to proper dress code (no revealing under or outer garments; excessive jewelry; etc.). It is recommended that she not wear anything which misrepresents the lifestyle of holiness or distracts from delivering the Word of God.
It is also recommended that she accompany the local President of the various Outreach Ministries, deemed by the Pastor (hospitals visits, nursing homes visits, food drives, shelters, jail/prison ministry, community activities, etc.), to gain hands-on experience in the ministry.
After a minimum of (2) years of observation, her Pastor may recommend her to the School of Licensing for Missionaries. Upon completion of the written and oral test, a Deaconess License will be issued. Missionaries with children nine (9) years old and younger are not eligible for an Evangelist Missionary License.

Licensing Process
- A Letter of Recommendation from the Pastor to School of Licensing for Missionaries.
- Completed an application to the School of Licensing for Missionaries
- Complete Sexual Misconduct Training.*
- Undergo a Background Check.*
- Payment in full for classes.
- Upon successful completion of courses. written and oral examination there is a capping ceremony and a License will be issued.
